Two weeks down… 14 to go.

If I had a time travel machine I would consider going back to last November, and telling myself, “Self, taking 6 graduate credit hours while working full time is not the greatest idea.”  Then, I would wisp off to 1991 to let the world know that spiral perms don’t look good on anybody.  Period.  I might pop into 2005 and invent a little thing called Facebook, too, while I’m at it.

It’s not that I want to drop one of these classes, but I was a bit cocky last semester with my 2 credit hours and my three whole hours a week of free time.  Let’s get real for a minute: I had to skip Biggest Loser this week because I had so much to do for CU.  *Gasp*  I know.   Let’s get even realer: this is week two of the semester.  I’ve only been doing the readings from the text and postings – haven’t even started any papers or projects.   I can already tell these next few months will be hairy.  However, I’m glad to be getting along with this degree, and it seems to be cruising by pretty quickly.

On another note: faithful readers who looked at last week’s blog know that I have made a big – probably dumb on my part – claim about getting buff this semester.  I want to be in a bikini by June 1st and will be posting a picture of just that on this very blog.  Dogs will recoil, grown men might cry, children will suffer irreprible damage to their corneas – nonetheless, I am doing it.  I had hoped it would incite a white-hot fear in me that forced me to work out.  So far, I haven’t yet “exercised” (I think that’s what you people call it), but I did not buy any oreos or red wine at the grocery store last week.  Baby steps. I’m feeling good – feeling good.
